Applications of Mechanical Polishing

Polishing is performed in stages. First, the profiles are set up on the machine then the work wheel and the abrasive material is applied for a short time to the surface. This ensures consistent material removal and prevents the build up of excessive heat on the material. After the first stage, polishing continues with a finer abrasive material. During this phase, all the minor deformations that appeared in the first stage will be removed. Then the desired shiny and reflective surface will emerge on the aluminum profile.
