Applications of Two Acid and Tri-acid Aluminum Profiles

Additives used during the bright dip process include a metallic brightener and a fume suppressant. The metallic brighter is usually made of copper. A galvanic cell is created between the copper metal and the aluminum profile. A film of copper will form temporarily on the aluminum surface and it also dissolves faster at the peak sections than at the valleys. This copper film protects the aluminum from excessive metal removal. Also, the fume suppressant decreases the quantity of red, irritating nitrogen oxide fumes that are emitted during the process and decreases the total amount of nitric acid used.    

These profiles may be used for aluminum door handles on various styles and designs of residential, commercial and industrial buildings. They are suitable for toilet and bath fixtures in hotels, shopping malls and other commercial buildings where the glossy surface will give an eye-catching reflection.
